Chore Chart Idea
When our kids were still at home, we did chores for a month at a time. To start things off, we had a family meeting to create a master list of all the chores that need to be done on a regular basis. Then, on a dry-erase board that was a blank calendar with extra room on the left side for writing note, we wrote our names down the side, and entered the chores on different days of the week, (i.e., one child’s may have said: Saturday-bathroom, Monday-clear and wipe table, Tuesday-bathroom...

A Lesson for Grandma from a 5-Year-Old
My daughter had just started kindergarten when my mother-in-law came up for a visit. Mariah came home from school and excitedly told her grandma that she had made a new friend that day. Pointing to her arm, my mother-in-law asked my daughter, "So, Mariah, does your new friend have white skin like you, or does she have dark skin?" So innocently and so perfectly, Mariah responded with, "I don't know, Grandma. I forgot to check!"

...when dealing with a narcissist? I was talking with someone about the fact that God does not tolerate sin, and neither should we. The conversation turned to their ex-, their children’s other parent, who, by all accounts, very likely has some narcissistic traits. (And yes, I met the individual on a number of occasions and was able to form my own conclusions.)
